Cancellation Policy

Full registration fees will be refunded if written notice is received no later than January 10th, 2025.  After this date an administrative fee of $50 will be charged for all cancellations received in writing on or before January 31st, 2025. There is no refund after this date. Extenuating circumstances are reviewed on an individual basis. Substitutions are permitted without added cost or penalty. Please email trust@texasbankers.com.

Dian Kauth, AEP

Attorney and Counselor, Fiduciary Consultant Fiduciary Strategies, LLC

Dian G. Kauth retired from banking March 2024. She is now the owner of Fiduciary Strategies, LLC, where she undertakes expert witness work in the fiduciary space, as well as consulting on fiduciary risk matters. Prior to her retirement from the banking industry, she worked for a variety of banks and trust companies as a trust officer and fiduciary risk manager. She was actively involved in the construction and implementation of her clients’ financial and estate plans, utilizing various entities such as trusts, investment management agencies, family limited partnerships, limited liability company as well as traditional and Roth retirement accounts. In her role as a fiduciary risk manager, she helped to resolve misunderstandings between trust officers and clients, and helped to oversee fiduciary litigation.u003c/pu003ernu003cp style=u0022text-align: left;u0022u003eDian graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English, Philosophy and Political Science from Southern Methodist University in 1981. She earned her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Tulsa College of Law in 1985. She practiced oil and gas law in Oklahoma prior to joining a bank to administer employee benefit trusts and subsequently, personal trusts. Dian has served as a risk manager and fiduciary administrator for several large and regional banks, including JPMorgan, Bank of America, and Regions Bank, with a focus on services for high net worth families. Dian was the Chief Fiduciary Officer for Texas Capital Bank from 2015 through 2020.u003c/pu003ernu003cp style=u0022text-align: left;u0022u003eDian is licensed to practice law in Oklahoma and Texas. She served as President of the Dallas Estate Planning Council and is a member of the Dallas Bar Association’s Probate and Energy Law Sections. She remains active, teaching various courses, including Trust and Estate Fundamentals, for the Texas Bankers Association Wealth Management and Trust Division. Dian and her husband have two sons, two grandchildren, and two dogs. They enjoy traveling in their RV, swimming and bicycling.u003c/pu003e

Brian Korb, PhD, CFA, CFP

Professor of Professional Practice Trinity University

Dr. Korb has over 30 years of investment management and teaching experience. He recently retired from nearly 10 years as a senior vice president and portfolio manager at Broadway Bank. Prior to his time at Broadway he held investment-related positions at USAA in San Antonio, and a privately held firm in Dayton, Ohio. In addition, he has taught economics, investments, corporate finance, and personal financial planning as a full-time professor at West Point, Trinity Western University (British Columbia), and Texas Tech University.rnBrian holds a BS in management from the U.S. Air Force Academy, an MBA with distinction in finance from the University of Michigan, and a PhD in family and consumer sciences education from Iowa State University. He was awarded the Certified Financial Planner® (CFP®) designation in 1992 and the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation in 2000. He has been married to Nancy for over 40 years. They have three children and three grandchildren.
