11/20/2024
During an oversight hearing, the Federal Reserve, Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation and the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency said there are no plans to finalize major rulemakings until next year.
Following the recent election results, lawmakers inquired about pending agency rulemakings, including the FDIC’s proposals on corporate governance and brokered deposits and the joint agency proposal on Basel III endgame capital requirements. They asked whether the agencies would delay rulemaking until the new administration took office.
